CEJ moves into its own headquarters in Frederiksberg

Share

In 2026, CEJ Property Management will move into a new headquarters in Frederiksberg – a historic building from 1898 that previously housed a cork factory. The property, owned by PensionDanmark, is undergoing extensive renovation, where ambitions for sustainability, a modern working environment, and respect for the building’s history go hand in hand.

The relocation marks a new chapter in CEJ’s development. Following a period of significant growth – including gazelle status and a doubling of revenue in just four years – CEJ is now strengthening the foundation for future expansion and innovation. In an industry characterized by volatility, CEJ has delivered stable results through a consistent focus on quality, stability, and responsibility.

The new headquarters is more than just a new office. It marks the beginning of CEJ 3.0 – the next strategic chapter in CEJ’s development, where we build on our strong culture while setting new goals for quality, efficiency, and responsible property management. The fact that we will soon have a fully modernized headquarters that allows for further growth and puts employee well-being front and center sends a clear signal about our priorities – and where we stand as a company,” says Anne Marie Oksen, CEO of CEJ Property Management.

The renovation is being carried out with a clear ambition to preserve and restore the existing building elements and maintain the property’s original expression and character. This can reduce the climate footprint of the renovation and optimize resource use.

A future-proof framework for CEJ
The property at Nitivej 6 will bring together all CEJ’s employees in Copenhagen and the C.E. Jensen Foundation under one roof. This provides optimal conditions for effective collaboration and innovation across CEJ’s many areas of expertise – in a setting where historical qualities are preserved and today’s demands for a sustainable and modern property are met. The goal is a DGNB RUM certification in the gold category, underscoring the ambition to create a future-proof and responsible workplace.

Anne Marie Oksen continues: “The fact that the property will meet the DGNB RUM certification requirements for climate, environment, resource efficiency, and social responsibility has been a decisive factor in our choice of future headquarters. At the same time, CEJ has been selected to manage the property – a collaboration we are very much looking forward to.

PensionDanmark, as owner and developer, also looks forward to the collaboration and is pleased to offer CEJ modern and flexible facilities where ambitions for sustainability and well-being go hand in hand – and to create a state-of-the-art headquarters of the highest standard with DGNB RUM.
